What is the REACT Clinic?

The ORKA REACT Clinic (Rapid Evaluation and Acute Care Treatment) is a specialized rapid-access Sports Medicine and Physiatry clinic designed to triage, assess and manage acute injuries efficiently and effectively. No referral is needed — athletes and active individuals can typically be seen within 4–7 days by our expert team of Sports Medicine Physicians and Physiatrists.

Ideal for those who have sustained a sports-related injury within the past 6 weeks, the REACT Clinic ensures timely access to advanced clinical care, helping you recover faster and return to performance.

Our physicians are certified by the Canadian Academy of Sport & Exercise Medicine (CASEM) and serve as team doctors for professional and national-level athletes. This same standard of elite care is brought to every client within the ORKA Sports Medicine ecosystem.

  • Please note: We do not accept motor vehicle collision (MVC) claims, Workers Compensation Board (WCB) claims, ongoing medicolegal cases, or clients who have already been assessed by another Physiatrist.

Is there a cost to the appointment?

No, all Sports Medicine Consultations and Physiatry (PM&R) Consultations are covered by Alberta Health Services as well as any imaging/labs that they order (x-ray, MSK Ultrasound, MRI, CT scan, Bone scan, blood work), so there are no direct costs to the athlete for this aspect of their ORKA Medical and/or Rehabilitation Pathway.
