MSc.PT., MSc.
Following a motor vehicle collision, Kirsten was drawn to the field of physiotherapy. She felt cared for and empowered by her physiotherapist, and knew that she could do the same for others. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary and a Master's of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta.
She has an interest in sport-related concussion, and furthered her expertise by completing an additional Master's of Science with a specialty in concussion rehabilitation at the University of Calgary. During her time there, she had the opportunity to work on a systematic review that informed the Sport Concussion Office Assessment Tool 6, and the Amsterdam Consensus Statement on concussion in sport.
Kirsten takes pride in continually improving her physiotherapy practice. She provides evidence-based and patient-centred treatment through education, exercise principles, soft tissue techniques and dry-needling.
Outside of the clinic, you can find Kirsten hiking, backcountry camping, snowboarding, walking her golden retriever Henry, or training for her next marathon. She also loves travelling, and will try to entertain you with stories from her recent trips.
Kirsten is driven to connect with each of her clients and empower them to achieve their goals. She is passionate about building an environment where individuals feel supported and motivated to succeed.
