WHAT OTHER PRACTITIONERS ARE SAYING.

AMY MACKINNON

OWNER, Coalition performance care

“What the team over here at ORKA has done is just so incredible. I think it’s so much more above and beyond, it’s really where the rehab industry needs to be from a systems stand point, from a team standpoint, from a culture standpoint. I really took a lot away from a systems standpoint and also stuff that you can just put into practice right away. It really is all there. It’s something that truly should transform anyones practice.

I honestly feel like the guys and the team here are taking the industry to a place that it absolutely needs to be. “

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need force plates or technology at my clinic to take this course?

Put simply. No. We will discuss methods on alternative ways to perform some of the neuromuscular milestone tests, although there will naturally be some limitations with being able to benchmark certain metrics or examinations of physical qualities up to international/evidence based standards based on the most current literature.

Are these instructors the right fit for me?

All of ORKA Education's courses are led by instructors with real imperfections. Besides trying to bring information and our systems to the masses, the truth is, when we take a look at our clinical caseloads, we still struggle daily with certain aspects of rehab and performance. Just like you, we did a critical analysis of our skill sets, we've done introspective work, and we got some skin in the game, trying to close the gaps in our practice. We want to help you close the gaps in yours.

How in depth does this course go?

This is not a course for practitioners who want to spend $200 for a quick online course, or for 3 days of slides. There is individualized attention, it is highly practical and interactive, and we go deep. If you are an individual with passion for the minutia, this is for you.

How is this course different from other resources on the market?

This course was curated in it's entirety to be completely individualized to the practitioners registering for the course. No two courses will be the same, and the live interactions will guide the discussions, interactions and practical breakouts. We are health-care practitioners too, and we all have taken the course that is completely generic, that you leave retaining 20-30% of the information discussed. We want you to enter practice on Monday a different practitioner than you were prior to the course. Otherwise, it's not a very good return on investment, is it?

Is this course only for physiotherapists?

With our courses, we've had intakes from all over North America, including Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Ontario, Quebec, Sasketchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, New York, California, North Carolina and Oregon. We've had an integrated mix of exercise physiologists, physiotherapists, physicians, chiropractors, and massage therapists and we welcome anyone who wants to further their knowledge in the ACL space, regardless if their caseload is made up of the general population, or the elite athlete.

Do I need to take any pre-requisite courses or be in practice as a practitioner for a certain period of time before I take the course?

Not at all. There's no preliminary requirements, and all levels of practitioner are welcome. Material that would be of benefit, would be any resources from Aspetar, Enda King, Roula Kotsifaki, Paul Reed, Tim McGrath and Mick Hughes.

How did you develop your frameworks and how will they be delivered?

All systems at ORKA are in PDF format, and were developed in concert with the latest evidence based research. These will be provided to you, and this access does not expire.

Can I connect with my peers from the course?

Yes, you all will be added to an exclusive SLACK channel, where you can ask questions re: current cases, business frameworks, rehab frameworks etc... This is monitored daily by your instructors, so you have access to continued feedback.

Can I get a refund?

We are confident in our systems and frameworks, and have seen them work well in practice. So much so, we offer a money back guarantee. A full refund would be commensurate on the demonstration of participation within the courses, and application/utilization of the course material.
