Plinth to Podium

Taking you inside the entire framework of ORKA Performance

Teams we’ve worked with

Our Why

ORKA Education was built as a curated platform for allied health practitioners, where knowledge, systems and execution can lead to an immediate and direct impact on patient outcomes. When we took a look at the current landscape of continuing education offerings across the fields, we felt it was packed full of courses that purely taught pain modulatory techniques, and it revealed gaps in several topics we felt crucial for optimizing client outcomes in the long-term, and that allowed practitioners to navigate the entire rehabilitation journey. The goal at ORKA Education is to provide a focused educational curriculum and tactical framework, centered around rehabilitation and performance principles.

Plinth to Podium is ORKA Education’s flagship offering. This immersive weekend takes you through the entire ORKA system of Rehab & Performance. There really is no stones left un-turned after the weekend. During Plinth to Podium you will get the opportunity to network, connect, and learning from industry leading professionals in all facets.

It’s a weekend to remember that will surely let you level up your practice & coaching ability.

THE BUSINESS OF REHAB

Rehab isn't just about reps and sets—it's about building a machine that performs. This module pulls back the curtain on what it took us to grow a high-performing rehab business. From retention systems and sales scripts to acquisition strategies and brand-building frameworks, we’ll walk through the exact levers that built ORKA. Expect hard-earned lessons, honest failures, and the principles that consistently drive growth.

Image

BRIDGING THE GAP

Rehab fails when it’s fragmented. This module outlines ORKA’s ecosystem for athlete-centered care—from our Rehab Membership model to the 5 Phases of Rehab and Injury Reduction Framework. You'll see how individualized approaches, systemized delivery, and team integration converge into a seamless athlete journey. Learn how to truly bridge the gap between injury, performance, and the return to play.

PERFORMANCE TESTING PART 1

Decoding the Foundations of Force

Before athletes produce force, they need to earn control. In this module, we unpack how mobility, motor control, and capacity (strength-endurance) form the foundation for effective rehab. You'll explore clinical testing standards, how movement shapes precede performance, and what early-stage levers truly influence long-term outcomes.

Image

STRENGTH AND POWER MODELS

Can your athlete produce the right amount of force, in the right direction, and the right time? This module maps out strength and power through the lens of the force-velocity curve. Learn how to blend coordination, intent, and output using practical drills and models that scale from early rehab to elite performance. Hyperlinked progressions, with the when and why, make this plug-and-play for your next program, with exposures to key concepts that underpin our mid and end stages like Dynamic Strength Index, Eccentric Utilization Ratios, and Velocity Based Training (VBT).

Image

THE PLYOMETRIC CONTINUUM

Explore the nuances of eccentric deceleration, concentric propulsion, and reactive strength in this deep dive on plyometric progressions and optimization of the stretch shortening cycle. From long to short ground contact times, you’ll learn how to layer elastic qualities and enhance neuromuscular resilience. This module provides practical progressions, continuum-based thinking, and drill libraries to help athletes own their bounce across every rehab phase.

Image

LINEAR GAIT RESTORATION, ACCELERATION AND MAX VELOCITY

Running is a skill—and often the most overlooked one in rehab. This module dissects linear gait mechanics, limb switch timing, trunk orientation, and force redirection to help you restore and refine top-end speed. With drill progressions and technical models, you’ll develop a clearer lens for what matters at each phase of return-to-run and return-to-sprint.

Image

CHANGE OF DIRECTION, EVASION AND AGILITY

Rehab must go beyond straight lines. This module covers assessment models, deceleration patterns, and multidirectional movement progressions that evolve through rehab stages. Learn how to build through the control chaos-continuum, movement options, and game-speed readiness through evidence-based frameworks and applied drills.

PERFORMANCE TESTING PART 2

Addressing the Force Time Curve: Translating Data into Decisions

Without data and insights, we are just another person with an opinion. This module unpacks how to analyze force-time curves from dual force plates and translate it into actionable programming. You'll learn to identify readiness, target adaptations, and match stimulus to stage. With ORKA’s internal standards and key testing protocols, this is the blueprint for integrating objective data into high-stakes rehab.

What Clinicians ARE Saying

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

How does this course work?

This course is designed as a high-performance learning experience for rehab professionals, strength coaches, and clinicians looking to level up their impact on athlete outcomes. It blends lecture-style teaching with practical application, using ORKA’s tested systems, frameworks, and internal standards.

How is this course different from other resources on the market?

This course goes beyond theory—it's built from real-world systems we use daily with athletes. While traditional education often overlooks performance-based rehab, this experience dives deep into ORKA’s integrated approach, bridging clinical care with high-performance outcomes in a way that’s practical, actionable, and proven.

Is this course only for physiotherapists?

Not at all. This course is built for any rehab or performance professional who wants to deepen their understanding of performance-based rehab. We've welcomed participants from across Canada—Nova Scotia to British Columbia—and around the world, including the UK, Ireland, and U.S. states like California, New York, Texas, Oregon, and Arizona. Our attendees include physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, chiropractors, massage therapists, physicians, and high-performance coaches. If you're passionate about bridging rehab and performance, you're in the right place.

Do I need to take any pre-requisite courses or be in practice as a practitioner for a certain period of time before I take the course?

Not at all. There's no preliminary requirements, and all levels of practitioner are welcome.

Can I connect with my peers from the course?

Absolutely. You’ll be added to an exclusive Slack community where you can ask questions, share case studies, and discuss everything from rehab frameworks to business systems. This space is actively monitored by ORKA Education course facilitators, giving you continued access to feedback and support beyond the course itself. During the in-person weekend, we also build in dedicated networking breaks and offsite social events, so you can connect with like-minded professionals, exchange ideas, and build relationships that last well beyond the classroom.

Can I get a refund?

We are confident in our systems and frameworks, and have seen them work well in practice. So much so, we offer a money back guarantee. A full refund would be commensurate on the demonstration of participation within the courses, and application/utilization of the course material.
